We’re passionate people, curious about the world, with an eye for detail. As a team, we’re analytic problem solvers, behavioural experts and natural communicators.

No matter how sensitive the topic, we’re good at getting people to reveal themselves.

Claire Duffy

Owner/Partner

Claire grew up in Hong Kong so has a lifelong passion for all things dumplings. She speaks French and loves to go bushwalking and observe animals in their wild habitat. Her approach to life is: ‘Do unto others…’. To unwind, she enjoys dancing — often around the kitchen. She thinks life is too short to take herself too seriously. In her dotage, she’d quite like to be a yoga teacher.

Craig Smith

Owner/Partner

When he was knee-high to a grasshopper, Craig lived in a caravan for a year doing the family’s circumnavigation of Australia. As a result, he loves the country life, now in Tasmania. On weekends he loves an adventure - in the kitchen, in nature or just out and about with his mates. The Greek islands are one of his fave places to holiday. His two biggest inspirations: his dear mum and grandma.

Andrew Wolstenholme

Research Director

Andrew had the unusual experience of meeting and speaking to Queen Elizabeth II (R.I.P.) during high school. He loves his sport, plays for the local over-35s soccer team and coaches his youngest daughter’s baseball team. His creative method of relaxing? Float therapy. Other passions include Great White Sharks (cage diving is on the bucket list) and wine, with a day spent working at an Orange winery a recent thrill.

Kylie Miller

Research Director

Kylie adores kayaking and hiking, especially if she can do it with her beloved labradoodle, Mozzy. Happiness is a state of mind to Kylie. She lived in Jakarta for two years and her favourite travelling destinations are Iceland, Lord Howe Island and the Italian Dolomites. She occasionally hosts young international travellers (WOOFERS, Google it) on her rural property, sharing the load and the joys of Aussie country life.

Esther van Oppen

Project Manager

Esther hails from The Netherlands, where riding bicycles is as common as breathing. When she moved to China in 2001, she learned the mantra: ‘this is not weird, just different’, which made her more open to new perspectives. So…on her last scuba diving adventure, she met a very large manta ray. Esther gives back to the community by helping deliver hot meals to homeless people in Kings Cross every Sunday.
